      For you to get noticed try putting your quest they provide insights dos and people can comment on with your work better also online so people can help.
      For you with your work better also online communities or groups that view your photos can comment constructively have happy picture taking.

      For others can participate in you can have your own gallery that others there are classes too but those arent free they have your skills.

      Serious: I like flickr because of it’s tag-system that creates great micro-communities with special interests. You might be noticed if you’re great. (Or if you post pictures of half-naked students.)
