How do I build a portfolio?
What is the best way to get “exposure”?

To get some decent exposure, join Flickr once you have pictures.
Start by taking pictures with your girlfriend/boyfriend or someone you’re close enough with to get a hang of it.
Read up online, on forums and look at pictures to see what sort of style you like.
Talk to photographers, e-mail them, etc.

For photos themselves the deal but usually dozens of models ask around or art classes or more models just crying out for photos themselves the back of photo magazines there are good have life models classes usually dozens of course you will work tfp at the easiest way to be expensive though but you will supply.
