I’m hoping you have started your portfolio.
Keep shooting and shooting.
Post your work on as many sites as you can. Like Flickr.
Mount and frame your work and offer to display it in local businesses like coffee houses and restaurants.

First of all, buy a digital SLR that compliments the lenses you already have. All the techniques are similar to film cameras, but more costly.
In addition to the camera body, you will have to include in your budget the cost of a new computer every three or four years and the latest version of Photoshop, iView and Photo Mechanic.
I see that you want to move into head-shots and fashion photography. What do you shoot now? Editorial? Travel? Print?
One Model Place will give you some good ideas on what is currently selling when it comes to glamour, fashion and head-shots.
The best way to get into those areas of photography is to build a book and then show it around to all the publishers in your area and try to get a few assignments from them.
One Model Place has a lot of photographers and models books. This should give you a good start.
