Better yet, go to your local public library. They’ll have many photography books. Look for one that begins with the basics. Photography is a wonderful hobby and can become a great occupation.
If you are still in school the library there will probably have photography books, too.
And don’t forget the World Wide Web…. tons of good information here
Anything by Bryan Peterson, especially “Understanding Exposure”.
Scott Kelby’s digital series is entertaining and helpful, not sure how much of the basics you will glean from his approach, though. He tends to show you a picture, then tell you how to make the same photo in your world. Good stuff, I like them.
Kodak used to have a great 35mm SLR Handbook. It is out of print and geared toward film, but the basics of composition and exposure are the same for film or digital.
Practically any basic book on exposure and composition will be fine. Read a page or two and pick the one you prefer.
Also take a class or join a local group or club to get mentoring and feedback.
If you’re looking to take up photography as a hobby, and wouldn’t mind spending the money, I recommend “Photography,” by Barbara Upton, et al. Buying the current edition - the ninth - is a bit spendy, so you may wish to look for used copies of the sixth, seventh or eighth editions, for relatively less.
I used an older version in a college darkroom course “ages” ago, and I STILL refer to it, simply because it’s so immensely useful. Trust me, you won’t “outgrow” it anytime soon.

you can buy basic photography book from below link…but i can’t recommend which one
what i would recommend is to understand camera configuration and function…understand f & speed and lighting…
focusing and lighting measurement is very important before shooting. i think you can buy any basic book
