What is the best camera to use for photography?

I’m trying to get into photography and I have no clue what kind of camera to use. And maybe something under $300, if there is something good in that price range-i have no idea, I just want one of those big black cameras. Thanks :]

      you could get one of those big black cameras in that price range if you are shooting film, but if you want to shoot digital. then those start out about $500 for a nikon d40.

      these types of cameras are called slr’s or dslr’s (single lens reflex. or digital single lens reflex)

      you could get a very nice film camera and lens. for that price maybe a nikon f4, or a canon eos 1. both of these are big heavy professional cameras.

      if you want digital you will have to get a non dslr camera both nikon and canon make good ones. but they are not very big and are not always black, but they could create some very good pictures. just make sure you get a camera that gives you full manual control, aperture control and shutter control . you do not want an auto only camera.

      I would suggest Nikon Coolpix L100 10MP with 15x Optical Vibration Reduction (VR) Zoom.
