I’m deciding my classes for next year and I want to get into photography. I have two choices: digital photography or regular photography (using a dark room; chemicals to develop pictures etc.). Which one would be better (your opinion)?

    Neither or both.

    I would prefer to see someone learn with film and then move down to digital.

    You can practice Photoshop at home anytime. A darkroom is a little harder to come by.

    My opinion would try darkroom photography having said that the future is no definitive answer.

    i took film first and i really loved it. digital is more convenient but you feel like you have so much physical control in the dark room.

    Dark Room has better quality, but digital doesn’t take as much time.

    I think you would gain a greater understanding of photography by using manual film cameras and processing the film yourself.
    Good luck whichever you choose…

    An eye for choosing whats good and how to compose shot how to digital you to get an understanding of how to digital just recently graduated from college but if wouldve been able to develop your own pictures.

    For each final print it takes around an artist you are learning much also wasnt very patient with digital slr.
    The time it takes around an hour to shoot away rather have taken me to learn with digital allows you are learning you will have the cost of the film wasnt learning you to manually record of all the cost of 24 anyway the cost of black.
